Brigitte Rupp is the daughter of the long-standing Chairman of the Managing Board and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hypo Vorarlberg, Dr Kurt Rupp. She was practically born with the banking gene. With a doctorate in natural sciences, she worked with Roland Rupprechter at Hypo Vorarlberg for several years. She worked as a portfolio manager and financial analyst in portfolio and asset management. Her responsibilities included the construction and maintenance of asset management mandates, the tactical auditing of mandates and process-orientated risk management. She was passionate about researching the financial markets. She drafted the Hypo investment policy and created the Hypo investment service. She also supported the Hypo branches with her expertise. She worked at Hypo Vorarlberg from 2000 to 2007. At the end of 2000, she completed her training as an investment advisor at the Bankakademie, University of Applied Sciences for Business Consultancy Professions, Wr. Neustadt. In the same year, she attended the one-year course "General Management - Business Administration for Non-Business Economists" at the Management Centre Innsbruck. Her focus was on organisation, leadership and project management. In 2002, she successfully completed the VOIG course for fund and portfolio management (CPM Certified Portfolio Manager) in Vienna.
