Roland Rupprechter is CEO of the R&B Wealth Management Company, which is licenced and supervised by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). Before founding the company, Roland Rupprechter was Head of Asset Management at St. Galler Kantonalbank (Switzerland) and Hypo Vorarlberg (Austria) for over 20 years.
He studied "Banking and Insurance" at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and completed his studies with the Master's thesis "Credit risk shifting via securitisation - from cardiac arrest to rehab", submitted to David T. Llewellyn, Professor of Money and Banking, Loughborough University, Great Britain, with "Very good".
He also successfully completed the Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM) training programmes. In addition, he was awarded the degree of Quantitative Investment Analyst (EBS/DBG) by the EBS University of Business and Law in Frankfurt am Main.
Prior to this, he obtained a Diploma in Finance from the Swiss Banking School Zurich, which published his diploma thesis "Integration of non-traditional investments in the asset allocation process" in its own series of publications with Paul Haupt Verlag Bern (ISBN 3-258-06584-5).
Before and during his studies, he worked for seven years as Head of Portfolio and Asset Management at St. Galler Kantonalbank in St. Gallen (Switzerland), where he was elected a member of the Management Board in January 2000.
From 1993 to 1996, he led the Private Customers division of Sparkasse Bregenz Bank AG. This included private banking, asset management and securities trading.
Roland Rupprechter has published numerous articles on the subject of quantitative investments in renowned specialist journals and lectured on portfolio and capital market theory at the St. Gallen Banking Academy.
He is a member of the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management (ÖVFA). Most recently, he has written two academic articles on "A new and well-known modified Sharpe ratio methods" and "The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of Securitisation. An Empirical Study.", which are intended for publication in specialised journals.
Roland Rupprechter holds multiple pilot licenses for helicopters and airplanes.
