Entrepreneur

Walter Böhler is co-founder and partner of R&B Research und Vermögensmanagement Gesellschaft. Walter Böhler grew up as an enthusiastic footballer in Wolfurt and was interested in the trading business from an early age. It was therefore not surprising that, after successfully completing commercial college in Bregenz and gaining his first professional experience, he soon fulfilled his career aspirations by trading in textiles. In 1970, Walter Böhler founded his company, the "Walter Böhler Textilhandelsagentur", in Wolfurt. He started with the sale of nightwear. The first customers, such as the Richard Schöps fashion chain, were quickly won over, especially by the attractive collections, the good price-performance ratio and the punctual deliveries. The distribution of underwear was added later. Here he succeeded in acquiring Palmers, Gazelle and other well-known premium brands as customers. The passion and enthusiasm for textiles and the incentive to achieve maximum customer satisfaction meant that the textile business grew steadily in the years that followed. In 2003, a new business segment was opened up with the introduction of a retail business specialising in functional underwear. The brands sold included the well-known labels Mäser Schibekleidung and Odlo Sportmode. In mid-2019, Walter Böhler decided to diversify his company portfolio. As co-founder of R&B, he entered the financial analysis and investment consulting business. He also took up the business of letting residential and commercial premises from property investments he had made.
